Company Overview
GAMco’s logo, with its one opposing arrow, symbolizes our progression with methodologies that assure competitive fees and fully compliant appraisal reports prepared by skilled, geographically competent appraisers., suggests that we are moving forward with new ideas that bring significant value to our clients. GAMco is owned and managed by professional appraisers that have well established relationships with bankers, mortgage brokers, attorneys and others that need appraisals. We have an intimate understanding of the dynamics of the client/appraiser relationship, and an even greater appreciation of why federal and state regulators as well as the nation’s appraisal organizations have concerns. Before GAMco was formed, its principles analyzed surveys, statistics and other data. The business model that emerged established an economically realistic, ethical, client/appraiser relationship that conformed to all applicable appraisal standards and banking regulations. As these standards and regulations have evolved, so has GAMco.
GAMco’s goal is to bring together the nation’s community bankers with the nation’s most qualified appraisers. To accomplish our goal, GAMco has become the first and remains the only Appraisal Management Company (AMC) Associate member of the Community Bankers’ Association of Illinois (CBAI). In this capacity, we have had the good fortune to learn about the unique requirements of this association’s membership.
Coincidently, GAMco became intimately involved with the Appraisal Institute (AI) in its creation of the AMC Best Practices Initiative and the AMC Registration & Regulation Model Act. The American Society of Appraisers (ASA), the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) and the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA) (Appraisal Organizations) have now joined the AI in the initiative (to establish ethical standards and responsibilities) and the model act (to establish law governing the activities of AMCs).
GAMco is on the leading edge of appraisal management. Our goals and objectives will, sooner than later, come to fruition. We look forward to working with our good clients, the appraisal organizations and all professional appraisers to a greater good.
